Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter as well as mixed martial artist who is currently fighting in the flyweight division of UFC. Valentina is her elder sister and a fellow UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko started her journey into combat sports as an Muay Thai Kickboxer. After leaving the league in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body while in the final clinch. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded the UFC contract following this win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous decision, but she fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi on a split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. This fight earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko won her first three fights before losing the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was recently knocked out by KO in round two to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
