At the age of four she began singing and received a taste of fame when she begged her mother attend an audition for Sesame Street. When she was 6 year old, she began her acting career as a regular actor on the PBS children's educational program Sesame Street. Her acting career continued throughout New York City with many productions, including Fences which is a Broadway production, as well as Orfeo del Campo that was an off-Broadway production. She won Star Search twice when she was seven years old. Her second appearance received her a rating of four stars.
